What to Expect

What to expect?

Faith Bible Chapel is a non-denominational gathering of evangelical Christians. Our structure, theology and leadership model most closely resembles an Open Brethren Assembly.

We meet to worship God in a genuine and meaningful way. Our worship services are family-oriented and focus on singing praise and preaching truth from the Word of God. Our church is made up of people of all ages. This allows for Biblical mentoring and learning to occur between the older and the younger.

Jesus Christ, while here on earth, strongly reprimanded those who would focus on the outward appearance and pay little attention to the inward heart of a person and their relationship with God. So we do not have a strict dress code. You will see people appropriately dressed in many different ways.

On each Sunday we have the following services:

1. Breaking of Bread: 9:45 – 10:20 AM – This is a service for believers to gather and remember the Lord’s death. It is a quiet service with singing of hymns, brief messages from God’s Word, meditation on the Word and participation in the Breaking of Bread (Celebration of the Lord’s Supper; Communion). Offerings are made either by e-transfer  or placed in a box in the foyer.

2. Fellowship Break Time: 10:30 – 11:00 AM – There is a time of fellowship and coffee.

3. Family Worship Service: 11:00 AM – This is a worship service with singing (mix of traditional and contemporary), prayer and a sermon. The speaker and service leader will vary from Sunday to Sunday. The service usually ends around 12:15 p.m.. The children leave for Sunday School around 11:15 a.m. There is also a nursery at this time.

4. Sunday Evening Service:  – not at present.

We also have group Bible studies and ministries to children, youth and young adults during the week. Please refer to our ministries section of the Faith Bible Chapel website for additional information and times: www.faithbiblechapel.org or telephone: 726-8242 or e-mail: fbc.stjohns@gmail.com
